The Statistical Abstract of the United States was the first source for statistics on all aspects of population, economy and society in the United States.
  • Annual publication occurred between 1878-2012.
  • Although emphasis in the Statistical Abstract was primarily given to national data, many tables present data for regions and individual states and a smaller number for metropolitan areas and cities.
  • Now to access current data you must go to the individual sources listed in previous editions.
  • Also available in print
