Nexis Uni has some US Bankruptcy cases and also SEC filings you can search. To search for companies that have filed for bankruptcy click Advanced Search and under "Select a specific content type, select Company and Financial and then SEC filings. Form 8-K is used to declare bankruptcy with the SEC. (You can see more information about the process here: https://www.sec.gov/reportspubs/investor-publications/investorpubsbankrupthtm.html.) You can also input other search criteria and then click search. To get cases, click Advanced Search, and under "Select a specific content type, select Cases and then Cases again. Use search term bankruptc* or other terms and click Search. You can narrow down to bankruptcy courts by selecting them under Sources. 

U.S. Courts Bankruptcy Statistics: The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts compiles statistics on bankruptcy filings.

American Bankruptcy Institute: The ABI also provides U.S. Bankruptcy statistics.

The Bankruptcy yearbook and almanac: This print book provides statistics on bankruptcies.
