Q. Why can't I upload my own themes or edit my style sheets on my WordPress site?
If you’ve used WordPress elsewhere (with your own hosting account or at WordPress.com) you may have noticed that the Commons is more restrictive than other WordPress sites. You can’t upload themes of your own, for example, or edit your style sheets. That’s because Commons sites are part of a large, relatively complex system; we need to make sure that its many parts work smoothly together and won’t break if, for instance, we upgrade the system. If you’re interested in using tools or themes not offered, we’re more than happy to consider them. Let us know by writing to email@example.com.
